Skonnie Music is a symphonic power metal band founded by Connie Yerbic and Sal Moretta. Based in San Francisco, the band creates original music shaped by powerful vocals, expressive flute, pyrotechnic guitar work, cinematic orchestration, and lyrical storytelling.

Connie Yerbic and Sal Moretta are professional musicians with more than 20 years of experience in songwriting, studio recording, and touring, including work in prestigious European studios such as Sweden’s Fascination Street Studios with Jens Bogren and Milan’s Massive Arts Studios with Alberto Cutolo.

At the heart of Skonnie Music is a commitment to artistic creativity. The band composes its music note by note and develops its visual world in-house, creating a unified artistic identity across songs, artwork, and merch.

Skonnie Music is currently creating Nuraghe, an ambitious full-length album that reflects the band’s love of epic atmosphere, haunting melodies, rich symphonic passages, and exhilarating metal energy. The goal is to create music that moves listeners, sparks the imagination, and leaves a lasting impression.

Both Connie Yerbic and Sal Moretta bring professional recording experience, musical discipline, and years of artistic development to the band. Their combined strengths help define Skonnie Music as a band with an independent spirit and serious creative depth.

Connie Yerbic

Connie Yerbic is a vocalist, flutist, lyricist, songwriter, and co-founder of Skonnie Music. Her musical path includes a background in classical and orchestral music, international touring, and professional studio recording experience. Drawing on that foundation, she brings expressive vocals, imaginative lyrics, and the distinctive voice of the flute into the world of symphonic power metal, helping shape the atmosphere and identity of Skonnie Music.

Sal Moretta

Sal Moretta is a guitarist, composer, and co-founder of Skonnie Music. His musical background includes deep study of classical, acoustic, and electric guitar, along with influences from renowned virtuoso and neoclassical players like Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Romeo, and John Petrucci. With studio album and touring experience, and a highly recognizable playing style, he helps define the energy, precision, and melodic intensity at the core of Skonnie Music.
